  We thought the patio was lovely and the food was great. However, being vegetarians I was disappointed at the vegetarian options. I asked if I could just have a veggie wrap. The waitress said "well why not get the chicken baja wrap with no chicken". I did and it was very good but I was surprised the wrap was still $14.95 as listed on the menu. I noticed to add chicken to any meal it is $4.95 but to not get any is still the same price? Made no sense. She said "If I had to key in lettuce, tomato and avocado as a special order it would have cost more".. Like what $18.95? Strange ??!!?? I feel a couple dollars off would be fair. Perhaps I'll ask for the chicken on the side and give to my dog when I get home? Maybe we'll just have a beer and eat somewhere else. All in all we did enjoy the 17 Mile house but a healthy vegetarian lunch option would be great.

  This is a classic pub, with friendly staff, hearty meals and affordable beer. 17 Mile has a nice selection of regional craft beer on tap, plus the usual lager suspects. If you're planning on walking over from the Arbutus Cove Guesthouse, walk east on the Galloping Goose trail and take your first left past the bridge. Walk up the driveway to Gillespie and go left again until you reach the main road and then turn right toward the pub. Far less death-defying than walking all the way along the highway.

  We have been for chicken wings on the Monday night special. Very good! Service is usually good.

  Always feel warm and welcomed. The staff are great and the food is both tasty and well priced.
