  Great food! Great drinks! Great view! Check out The Cooper Room, great place to grab a beer and burger after you walk Whiffin Spit.

  Accom: Absolutely beautiful room - loved it! Heritage place which has kept the heritage feel with updated / modernised finish & amenities. Clean. Spacious. Comfortable. Beautiful views. Fireplace. A couple of oddities - no where to hang the towels, a bed so high I had to jump to get into it, & the only windows without a curtain or blind are the ones near the shower - a little strange but did not dampen our enjoyment of the room. Food - this wasn't as good as the accom. Breakfast was ok but it took an hour to get basic eggs/bacon & the service wasn't great at all. We ate dinner twice - one meal we sat in the copper room - again, service wasn't great - good when they served us, but we sat a long time between drinks. The cocktail was very nice. The food was ok but very few choices for gluten & dairy free. The second time we had room service. Had the exact same meal as when we sat in the copper room but the meal was considerably smaller / a lot less food on the plate. Overall: loved the accommodation & highly recommend it; cocktails nice. My rating is based on the accomodation.

  Absolutely delicious food with beautiful presentation; chef's work is top notch with a daily changing local, sustainable and fresh menu. Apparently my salmon main was taking too long (I hadn't noticed, was too busy enjoying the seaside garden view), so my excellent waiter brought me a complementary soup and topped up my wine free of charge. I can't say enough about the quality of service and attention to detail offered at the restaurant and how delicious the food was. Will definitely return in the future and thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience.
